Educators

Connecting curiosity, discovery, and the classroom.

Inspiring Learning Through Space

Out of This World 25 offers educators new ways to connect science, history, innovation, and storytelling in the classroom.

Through the story of Chris Hadfield’s 2001 mission, Canada’s role aboard the International Space Station, and the upcoming Artemis II mission, OOTW25 helps students explore how curiosity, teamwork, and discovery shape our understanding of the world and beyond.

Developed in collaboration with McMaster Children and Youth University (MCYU) and project partners across Canada, these resources are designed to support meaningful, interdisciplinary learning.

Teaching space means teaching curiosity, discovery, and possibility.

Classroom Connections

Out of This World 25 gives educators new ways to connect classroom learning to real stories of Canadian achievement in space.

Themes explored through the project include:

  • science and innovation
  • Canadian history
  • space exploration
  • STEAM learning
  • storytelling and communication

These connections help students see how discovery happens across disciplines — and how Canada continues to play a role in the future of exploration.
